Markets reversed early optimism and ended the day with a sell-off. Nifty slipped 45 points, closing at 24,579.60, well below 24.6K. The Sensex mirrored the decline, falling over 200 points. Weakness in banking and healthcare compounded the risk-off mood, even as PSU, metals, and midcaps showed pockets of resilience.
