Indian equities ended the session under heavy selling pressure, closing near the day's low, as risk sentiment remained subdued due to global geopolitical concerns. While frontline indices slipped, the broader market saw sharper cuts, particularly in midcaps. Financials, pharma, and PSU banks dragged, even as IT and defence names offered limited support.
