Markets remained rangebound but positive, with Nifty closing above the 24,700 mark. Broader markets mirrored the sentiment, supported by a healthy advance-decline ratio.
Nifty 50 gained +130.70 pts to close at 24,750.90 (+0.5%)
Sensex advanced +444 pts to end at 81,442
Nifty Bank rose +84 pts to 55,761, but underperformed broader indices
Nifty Midcap gained +378 pts to 58,303 (+0.6%)
Market breadth remained strong: Advance-Decline ratio at 3:2
🔸 Sectoral Performance Commentary
The market saw broad-based gains with strong participation from Capital Markets, Defence, and Realty sectors. Nifty Capital Markets led the charge with a solid 2.9% gain, followed by Defence and Realty, which continued to attract investor interest. However, PSU Banks lagged behind, slipping 0.6%, indicating some profit-booking after recent strength.
